General Guidelines for District Awards RY 2009-2010
- The Rotary clubs shall submit the authorized and standardized nomination forms prepared by the District Awards Committee for each award vied for by the clubs and individual Rotarians. The hard copies of the nomination forms will be submitted to the Rotary Center at Roces Avenue, Quezon City. Also acceptable is submittal through email or through compact disk (CD). Nomination Forms may be supported by pictures and other documents including certifications as may be deemed necessary to justify the nomination. Grant of awards will be limited to submitted nominations. No nomination no award.
- A club project or activity shall be nominated and eligible for awards in only one category.
- Nominations for individual awards should likewise be endorsed by their respective Rotary clubs.
- The Panel of Judges for the Major Awards will be composed of four (4) District Governors/Past District Governors from other Rotary Districts in the Philippines with the Chairman, District Awards Committee of District 3780 serving as chairman and the District Awards Committee as secretariat.
- The District Awards Committee will endorse to the Panel of Judges not more than three (3) nominees for consideration of the Panel for the Major Awards.
- The District Awards Committee shall select the winners in the Minor Awards Category.
- Any member of the District Awards Committee whose club or member is vying for a particular award shall inhibit himself in the deliberation and selection for said award and shall leave the room during the deliberations.
Specific Guidelines and Qualifications
Basic Qualifications for Major Club Awards
- Nominee must be a Club in good standing with no obligations to the RI District 3780, Rotary International, and the Philippine Rotary Magazine; and
- Must have also submitted nominations to at least half of the total number of award categories under the minor awards as enumerated in III. MINOR AWARDS above. Except for the Outstanding Club in Membership Development category where two nominations is required.
Most Outstanding Rotary Club
For the Most Outstanding Rotary Club, in addition to the above basic qualifications the following are required:
- Must have a charter strength membership of twenty (20) members;
- For membership growth, the club must have ten percent (10%) growth for clubs with thirty-eight (38) members and above, and twenty percent (20 %) growth for clubs with thirty-seven (37) members and below;
- Must have 100 USD per capita contributions to the Rotary Foundations for RY 2009-2010 as of March 31, 2010;
- Must have earned minimum required points to qualify for the Presidential Citation for RY 2009-2010 (accomplished Presidential Citation Form to be included as supporting paper); and
- Must have an average attendance of at least sixty percent (60%) for the Rotary Year 2009-2010 as of February 2010 based on the Club Monthly Reports of Attendance submitted to the District office.
Qualifications for Major Individual Awards
Nominees must be a member in good standing with no obligations to his club and to the District, and nominated by his/her club.
In addition to the above, the following are other qualifications for indicated awards:
Most Outstanding Club President
- Must have at least Eighty percent (80%) attendance in club meetings;
- Must be a Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) with contributions of at least $1,000 for RY 2009-2010 unless already a Multiple Paul Harris Fellow;
- Must have sponsored at least one (1) new member to the club;
- Must have participated in the PETS and DISTAS; and
- Endorsed by his/her Rotary club.
Most Outstanding Assistant Governor (AG) and Most Outstanding Assistant Governor Representative (AGR),
- Must be a Paul Harris Fellow; and
- Endorsed by the club(s) under his/her coverage, as indicated in the Evaluation Forms for AG/AGR accomplished by the respective Club Presidents.
Deadline for Submittal of Nominations Deadline for the submittal of nominations is March 31, 2010. Awards Night will be on May 29, 2010. However, nomination for awards, as may be applicable, e.g. completed projects, may be submitted anytime of the Rotary Year but before the deadline.

The District Awards Selection Committee is composed of a Chairman, a Co-Chairman and seven (7) members who are all members in good standing of Rotary Clubs in District 3780.
