General Guidelines
1. Certain awards will be given in three categories of Rotary clubs:
a. Small clubs - Below 25 members
b. Medium clubs - 25-36 members
c. Large clubs - 37 and more members
2. The Rotary clubs shall submit the authorized and standardized nomination forms prepared by the district awards committee for each award vied for by the clubs and individual Rotarians. The hard copies of the nomination forms will be submitted to the Rotary Center at Roces Avenue, Quezon City. Also acceptable is submittal through email or through compact disk (CD). Nomination forms may be supported by pictures and other documents including certifications as may be deemed necessary to justify the nomination. Grant of awards will be limited to submitted nominations. No nomination to award.
3. A club project or activity shall be nominated and eligible for awards in only one category.
4. Nominations for individual awards should likewise be endorsed by their respective Rotary clubs.
5. The District Governor may invite as members of the panel of judges for the major awards past district governors from RI District 3780, and / or district governors and / from other Rotary districts in the Philippines, with the chairman of the district awards committee of District 3780 serving as chairman and the district awards committee as secretariat.
6. The district awards committee will endorse to the panel of judges not more than three nominees for consideration of the panel for the major awards.
7. The district awards committee shall select the winners in the minor awards category.
8. Any member of the district awards committee whose club or member is vying for a particular award shall inhibit himself in the deliberation and selection for said award and shall leave the room during the deliberations. The Rotary club of which the District Governor is a member offered not to compete in the major awards category.
Specific Guidelines and Qualifications
Basic Qualifications for Major Club Awards
1. The nominee must be a club in good standing with no obligations to RI District 3780, Rotary International, and the Philippine Rotary Magazine; and
2. The nominee must have also submitted nominations to at least half of the total number of award categories under the minor awards as enumerated in III Minor Awards above except for the Outstanding Club in Membership Development category where two nominations, i.e. in membership recruitment and membership retention, are required.
Most Outstanding Rotary Club
For the Most Outstanding Rotary Club, in addition to the above basic qualifications, the following are required:
1. Must have a charter strength membership of 25 members.
2. For membership growth, the club must have 20% net increase in membership as of the 2nd semester Semi-Annual Report.
3. Must have USD 100 per capita contributions to The Rotary Foundation for RY 2011-2012 as of March 31, 2012.
4. Must have earned minimum required points to qualify for the Presidential Citation for RY 2011-2012 (accomplished Presidential Citation Form to be included as supporting paper).
5. Must have an average attendance of at least 60% for RY 2011-2012 as of February 2011 based on the club monthly reports of attendance submitted to the district office.
Qualifications for Major Individual Awards
Nominees must be a member in good standing with no obligations to his club and to the district, and nominated by his / her club.
In addition, the following are other qualifications for indicated awards:
Most Outstanding Club President
1. Must have at least 80% attendance in club meetings.
2. Must be a Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) with contributions of at least USD1,000 for RY 2011-2012.
3. Must have participated in the PETS and DISTAS.
4. Endorsed by his / her Rotary club.
Most Outstanding Assistant Governor (AG) and Most Outstanding Assistant Governor's Representative (AGR)
1. Must be an existing Paul Harris Fellow
2. Must have been endorsed by the club/s under his / her coverage, as indicated in the Evaluation Forms for AG / AGR, accomplished by the respective club presidents.
District Awards Committee
The District Awards Committee will be composed of a Chairman, a Vice Chairman and at least ten members all of whom should be members in good standing of Rotary clubs in RI District 3780, and appointed as such by the District Governor prior to the beginning of RY 2011-2012.
Club Administration
Clubs must operate efficiently to provide service to the community, attract and retain members, and develop leaders for the club, district, and RI. more
